Blue Atlas Releases Remote Control Tango App for iPod Touch

It is not possible to control the myriad things that happen in our lives each day, so it is good to know that I can control my iPod Touch with the new Blue Atlas Tango application.

Now I don’t need to get up from my couch to control the volume or decide which song I want to hear next.

This fresh from the oven iPod Touch/iPhone application is available from the App Store at $.99.

With Tango, users can remotely control another iPod Touch/iPhone to manage the music playing on the remote device. It competes with Apple’s Remote software application for iPhone and iPod Touch that allows users to control audio and video playback in their iTunes library and on Apple TV.

Range of Control Functions

Tango Remote from Blue Atlas, LLC In addition to controlling the volume, you can manage the play/pause function as well as skip forward and backward to listen to the music of your choice. It is good to know that I can remotely select all the playlists and shuffle songs. This will especially come handy when I am listening to the music and doing chores in some other room.

Engineers at Blue Atlas have designed Tango in way that it can work on all versions of the iPod Touch and iPhone. The company seems to have acted on the customer’s feedback indicating the demand for an application that lets them have more control over their favorite music device. Efforts have been made to make the application fast and easy: simply shake once to skip forward or shake twice to skip backwards.

Creating a Remote Playlist

Blue Atlas’ Tango is in fact an advanced music player for the iPod Touch/iPhone equipped with a remote control that functions through a Wi-Fi network. A very wide range of activities are possible with this music player such as the management of all the existing iTunes music, podcasts, and audio books that are available on your device.

You may especially like the On-The-Tango playlist feature that lets you remotely create a playlist from any of the music on your iPod Touch.
